SHSCEvents – part of National Services Scotland for NHS Scotland – organises conferences, conventions, seminars and training events for the NHS in Scotland, the Scottish Government and other affiliated health organisations. The events team is responsible for managing around 60-80 events each year, ranging from 20 to 800 attendees.
Challenge: SHSCEvents were using an online event management solution to facilitate abstract submissions and delegate registrations. However, as their customers’ requirements grew, there was an increasing need for more complex websites with flexible booking forms. With these challenges in mind and the pressures of a growing events portfolio, the organisation decided to invest in a new solution that would simplify internal processes and create a more efficient system for managing both abstracts and registrations.

Eventsforce was of particular interest as it integrated abstract management and delegate registration onto one centralised platform. This allows SHSCEvents to invite and review abstract submissions, build agendas, as well as manage delegate invitations, registration and payments using one single tool. As well as increasing productivity, the system has helped SHSCEvents to launch and manage online events quickly through easy to use custom templates. The process of creating management reports has also become a lot quicker through easy to use report interfaces.
